
Maha Kumbh 2025 News: More than 1.25 crore devotees took a holy dip in the Ganga at the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh today (9 February). Due to the crowd of more than one crore people coming every day for the last several days, the arrangements from the fair area to the city were affected. However, senior police and administration officials are now themselves on ground zero and trying to manage the arrangements.
Maha Kumbh's DIG Police Vaibhav Krishna himself is busy making arrangements by walking from Sangam to the entry point. He says that the crowd is coming in an unexpectedly large amount. Due to this, people have to face some difficulties sometimes, but full care is being taken to ensure that the devotees can bathe and offer prayers easily.
To serve the devotees, policemen are usually working for 16 to 18 hours and sometimes even 50 hours continuously without any break. He says that he himself is going down to ground zero and directing the policemen working in the field and monitoring the arrangements.
There is no traffic jam anywhere in the fair area - DIG Vaibhav Krishna
DIG Vaibhav Krishna told ABP News in a special conversation on Sunday that there is constant coordination with the Commissionerate Police regarding the problem of traffic jam. There is no traffic jam anywhere in the fair area. People are reaching Sangam by walking on different routes. There is a complete ban on the movement of vehicles. The passes that were issued have also been suspended till further orders.
There is no protocol for VIPs on bathing festivals- DIG Vaibhav Krishna
According to him, no devotee is facing any problem due to VIP movement. No protocol is being given to VIPs on bathing festivals. Even on normal days, special routes have been determined for VIPs coming and the number of vehicles has been strictly limited.
Timing of arrival and departure of vehicles of Kalpvasis is fixed- DIG Vaibhav Krishna
DIG Vaibhav Krishna has said that the fair police has completed all the preparations for the bathing festival of Maghi Purnima falling on February 12. The time and route for the vehicles of Kalpvasis to come and go to the fair area has been fixed. He has appealed to all the devotees coming to the fair to follow the rules. He has said that if all the people park their vehicles in the parking lot and take a dip in the Ganga at the nearby ghats, then the arrangements will not be affected at all and the devotees will also be comfortable.
Do not let panic be created in Maha Kumbh by spreading false propaganda- DIG Vaibhav Krishna
DIG Vaibhav Krishna says that some people are still spreading misinformation about Maha Kumbh on social media. Another FIR has been registered in the case of uploading a video from some other place and claiming it to be the stampede of Maha Kumbh. People are constantly being warned not to create panic in Maha Kumbh by spreading misinformation . If anyone does this, strict action will be taken against him.
