New Delhi. Weather Update Today: The heat wave will continue in North India. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted that severe heat is likely to continue in the northern parts of the country including Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh for the next few days. At the same time, after the arrival of severe cyclonic storm 'Remal', heavy rains and strong winds are continuing in many parts of West Bengal and the coast of Bangladesh. Due to extreme heat, a red alert has been issued for Rajasthan and Haryana, while an orange alert has been issued for Punjab for the next two days, after which a red alert will be issued. Talking about Phalodi in western Rajasthan, the maximum temperature here was 51 degrees Celsius. Similar temperatures are expected in Rajasthan for the next 3-4 days, due to which a red alert has been issued here. 


Heatwave in Delhi, IMD issues red alert for these states

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said on X that 'heat wave to severe heat wave conditions are likely in many parts of Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, western Uttar Pradesh on May 27.' At the same time, a red alert has been issued for Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, western Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. 

How will the weather be in Bihar-UP?

There is a change in the weather of  Bihar . The weather in the capital Patna and its surrounding areas has become dry and the people are suffering from the humid heat. On Monday, due to the westerly winds in Patna and surrounding areas, the temperature is likely to increase and the day and night are likely to be hot. Let us tell you that there is a possibility of hot days in 24 districts including Patna.

If we talk about the weather of Uttar Pradesh , the temperature was the highest at the end of May. On Sunday, the day temperature in Lucknow was recorded at 43.5 degrees Celsius. Due to the heat, it has become difficult for people to go out of the house during the day. Between 27 and 29 May, there is a possibility of a severe heat wave in Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi etc. areas.

Heat in hilly areas too!

The heat wave continues in most of the plains including Doon. The temperature here has again crossed 40 degrees Celsius. However, the weather in the mountainous regions was pleasant in the morning and evening. According to the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in the mountainous regions of Kumaon, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Almora on Monday. 

Where will cyclone Remal have impact?

IMD has issued warning of heavy rains and strong winds in West Bengal, Odisha, Northeast states. Due to cyclone Ramal, heavy rains are expected in West Bengal today and in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura between May 27 and 28.
