Uttarakhand Beer Production: Uttarakhand, known for its cold weather and natural beauty, is now achieving a new milestone in the field of beer production. According to recent data, beer production and export in the state has increased rapidly. For the first time, more than 78 thousand beer crates have been exported in just seven months, which is a significant achievement in the region.

The recently established beer plants in the state have increased production, making the taste of Uttarakhand's beer popular not only in the country but also abroad. According to senior officials of the Excise Department, with the inauguration of the new plant, the beer plant located in Bhagwanpur has started production this year, which has also increased the revenue of the state. According to Excise Commissioner Harichandra Semwal, along with the increase in production and export of beer, the state's Excise Policy 2024 has also played an important role. This policy is functioning in a transparent manner and is helping in curbing the illegal liquor trade. This has ensured growth as per the set revenue target.

Revenue of Rs 2540 crore received
Till October 28 in the financial year 2024-25, the state has earned a revenue of Rs 2540 crore, which is Rs 98 crore more than the same period of the previous financial year. The annual target of the department is Rs 4439 crore, in which the production and export of beer also has a major share. In the last seven months, more than three lakh cases of foreign liquor have been exported, which shows the business potential in this sector.

Beer produced in Uttarakhand is not only being liked by the local consumers, but it is also getting recognition in the international market. Apart from this, the opening of three new beer plants in different parts of the state has also increased local employment opportunities, which are proving to be helpful in the development of the region.

Thus, the production and export of beer in Uttarakhand is not only a means of economic development, but it is also an effort to get the state's culture and products recognized globally. In the times to come, if this trend continues, Uttarakhand can become a major player in the beer industry, which will not only increase revenue but will also contribute to the economic development of the state.
