Mumbai Police has caught an interstate racket which used to smuggle children. This gang was spread in many states across the country. After receiving information on this matter, Mumbai Police raided and arrested four women from Visakhapatnam. The police have started interrogating the women.
According to the agency, a Mumbai Police official said that the arrested women were working as fertility agents and egg donors. The police presented the accused women in the court, where the court sent them to police custody till May 8.
Officials say that Mumbai Police has so far arrested 14 people in the case of child trafficking. The police have rescued four children from their custody.
On Sunday, Mumbai Police arrested a doctor and six other people involved in selling an infant and a child. With this, a child-selling racket was busted here. Now Mumbai Police has arrested four women from Visakhapatnam. Police say that these women used to donate eggs, for which they were paid.

Police said that members associated with child trafficking rackets had sold at least 14 infants and children from Mumbai to people in Hyderabad and parts of Andhra Pradesh since September 2022. These people had collected between Rs 80,000 and Rs 4 lakh per child.
