UP Weather Update: The effect of severe cold is being seen in North India these days, icy winds are causing freezing and bone-chilling cold. Its effect is also being seen in Uttar Pradesh. A new update regarding the weather has been issued by the Meteorological Center Lucknow. The Meteorological Department has informed that in the coming days people may have to face cold along with fog. People need to be very careful amid the severe cold. Also, it has been advised to take great care of children.

The IMD has issued a forecast for January 5, 2025. The Meteorological Center said that the weather is likely to remain dry in eastern Uttar Pradesh on January 5, and light rain is expected in different districts of West UP. There is a possibility of light fog at different places in the late night and early morning. However, no warning has been issued for January 5.

How was the weather of the state in the last 24 hours?
The Meteorological Department said that during the last 24 hours, the weather remained dry in both the meteorological divisions of the state. Extremely cold day conditions were also seen at some places in eastern UP. At the same time, fog prevailed at some places in the state. On Friday, there was a significant increase in the temperature of Bareilly division during the day. Apart from this, there was a significant drop in Ayodhya and Prayagraj divisions. Apart from this, no major change has been seen in other divisions. However, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of dense fog at different places in the state in the coming 48-72 hours.
