Basti. There has been a new twist in the 22 year old kidnapping case in which the properties of the accused former minister Amar Mani Tripathi are being confiscated due to his absence in the court. The kidnapped Rahul Madheshiya submitted an application in the court stating that he has no dispute with Amar Mani Tripathi.
He does not even know them. Amarmani has no role in his kidnapping. Rahul has also pleaded for a compromise in this case. The hearing of Rahul's kidnapping case was on Friday in Basti's MP-MLA court.
Rahul submitted an application in the court stating that his father Dharmaraj Madheshiya has passed away. Now he is the victim in the case. He does not know Amarmani. He never even met him. During the kidnapping, no one even mentioned Amarmani's name in front of him. Amarmani has no role in his case, nor is there any dispute.
He wants to file a compromise. He also sought permission to keep the application in the file. Judge Pramod Giri ordered the application to be included in the case file.
An anonymous letter regarding property
The process of confiscating Amarmani's property is also underway on the court's order. The report was presented in the court on Friday. It was stated that the property located in Babina Hotel Road, Gorakhpur, which was said to be Amarmani's, is registered in the name of Shanti, wife of Ramesh Chaturvedi.
The court received another anonymous letter from Lucknow, in which plot number 5/19, 50 and 52 in Gomti Nagar Vipul Khand is said to be the property of Amarmani. Judge Pramod Giri ordered the in-charge police station to find out the properties afresh by July 6 and confiscate them.
