Although the body makes cholesterol according to its requirement, the body also gets extra cholesterol from the food you eat. The best thing is that the body has a system to remove this extra cholesterol, but when its quantity increases beyond limit, it can be dangerous for health. Too much cholesterol in the blood can increase the risk of heart diseases and stroke because cholesterol starts accumulating on the walls of the arteries and this forms plaques. These plaques block the arteries, which hinders the circulation of blood. 

Cholesterol can be easily reduced with the help of diet and exercise, some herbs and spices can also help you in this. Tulsi and turmeric, these two things are very beneficial in removing bad cholesterol from the body.  

Use turmeric like this

  • To remove bad cholesterol from the body, add a pinch of turmeric in a glass of water, mix it well and drink it. 
  • Drinking turmeric milk also reduces bad cholesterol. It also increases  immunity .
  • Turmeric tea is also very effective in reducing cholesterol. To make turmeric tea, add a pinch of turmeric, a small piece of ginger and black pepper in a cup of water and boil it well, then drink it.

Use Tulsi like this

Boil 8 to 10 basil leaves in hot water every morning and drink it. You can also add lemon or honey to it for taste.
