In 1988, the film Dayavan was released on the big screen under the direction of director Firoz Khan. Actress Madhuri Dixit played an important role in the film along with Vinod. The story and songs of the movie are still considered the first choice of the fans. 

But do you know that the shooting of Dayavan was completed in just 2 months. According to IMDB reports, Dayavan was completed in one schedule, which took only 60 days and the entire film was ready.

Vinod Khanna and Madhuri Dixit's romantic chemistry in Dayavan was much appreciated. But in the movie, an intimate scene was shown between the two in a song, which created a lot of controversy. In an interview, Madhuri had said that giving a liplock kiss to Vinod was her biggest mistake, which she regrets till date. 

Dayavan was a remake of a Tamil film

Feroz Khan made the film Dayavan with great passion. This film was the official Hindi remake of the 1987 Tamil movie Nayakan. It is said that at that time Feroz had bought the rights of this movie by spending a huge amount of Rs 10 lakh. However, this film could not do anything special at the box office.
