Agra.  In a joint investigation by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) team, Rs 1.51 crore was recovered on Saturday. Two youths were stopped at platform number one. The youths had two black bags. The team asked the youths to open the bags. The youths said that they contained clothes. The team was shocked as soon as they opened the bags. 

Young men going to sell silver items were also caught

Silver worth crores of rupees goes to other states every day from Agra Cantt and Raja Ki Mandi. Traders come here to sell silver items. Two weeks ago, RPF had caught two such youths from Cantt station. A joint investigation by RPF and GRP was going on at 4.30 pm on Saturday evening. The constables saw two youths on platform number one.

Ankit Gupta, resident of Kuan Kheda and Anuj Parihar of Ganj Mohalla Firozabad were involved. Anuj had a black coloured bag. When it was opened, bundles of 500 rupee notes were found in it. Ankit had the second bag. It was also full of notes. During interrogation, the youths told that they had bought a ticket of super fast train. They used to go to New Delhi by any train. They have been buying goods from New Delhi for a long time. The goods are sold in Agra.

There were no documents

Both the youths did not have any documents. The Income Tax Department team reached at 5:30 in the evening. The team counted the cash. Anuj's bag had Rs 84.68 lakh and Ankit's bag had Rs 67 lakh. Sub Inspector Ashish Kumar said that Rs 1.51 crore was found from both the youths. They could not show any document to show how the cash came. The Income Tax Department team has taken the cash with them. Rafiq, Rajkumar, Prem Singh were included in the team.

Cash was raised from the salt market 

During interrogation, the youths told that a youth named Sonu had given them Rs. 1.51 crores at the salt market. The entire amount was to be given to a youth in New Delhi. They could not tell the name of the youth. They said that they had received a phone call. GRP Inspector Cantt Samar Singh told that late in the evening, businessman Akhil Gupta of Firozabad reached the police station. The businessman said that he was taking the money after selling gold. However, he could not show any documents on the spot.
