UP News: The fourth accused Imran alias Bhindi, who robbed the house of Shadab, a thread trader and a relative of Haji Rafiq Ansari, a SP MLA from Meerut city assembly seat, was arrested by the police in an encounter. Imran, the accused criminal with a reward of Rs 25,000, was planning to commit a major crime. The police have also got many important information during interrogation and soon the remaining absconding criminals can also be arrested.

 

The surveillance team and Lisadi Gate police station were checking. Police received information that Imran alias Bhindi, a 25 thousand rupees criminal who robbed a thread merchant, is planning to commit a crime in Madina Colony. Police laid a siege to arrest the criminal. Seeing himself surrounded, Bhindi opened fire on the police, the police also fired back and the criminal Imran alias Bhindi got injured after being shot in the leg. Police has admitted the injured criminal to the hospital for treatment. Police has also got some big clues from interrogating him.

 

Let us tell you that on 21st August, the miscreants had attacked the house of Shadab, a thread trader living in Lohianagar and carried out the robbery. More than eight miscreants had carried out a robbery of more than 50 lakh rupees. The police had identified the miscreants on the basis of CCTV. The police had arrested three miscreants so far and were raiding in search of the rest. Out of them, the police had announced a reward of 25 thousand rupees on Imran alias Bhindi and he was also being searched with the help of surveillance. Late night, the police found Bhindi's location near Madina Colony and when he was surrounded, Bhindi had an encounter with the police.

 

There has been an encounter with miscreants earlier also

There has already been an encounter with the criminals who robbed Meerut yarn trader Shadab, in which three criminals Zaki, Majhar and Sarfaraz were arrested. The mastermind of this incident was Zaki who used to transport goods in the rickshaw that came to the yarn trader's place. When the police was going to arrest these three criminals and recover the pistol and goods, Majhar ran away and fired at the police, in which he was injured by a bullet in his leg in the encounter.

Since the case was related to a relative of SP MLA Haji Rafiq Ansari and the incident was a robbery, the police also considered it a big challenge. CO Kotwali Ashutosh Kumar said that the criminal Imran alias Bhindi who was injured in the encounter had a reward of Rs 25,000 on his head and more than half a dozen cases are registered against him in various police stations. A pistol, cartridges and shells have also been recovered from the arrested criminal. His other accomplices will also be arrested soon.
