New Delhi: India's budget airline IndiGo Airlines is also going to offer business-class service now. It has given a glimpse of the interior of its new business class aircraft, which has been named IndiGo Stretch. IndiGo announced this new product in August, as a celebration of its 18th anniversary.

Now passengers traveling on IndiGo will be able to book business class seats on flights connecting major metro cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad. This brings IndiGo in the league of Tata Group-owned Air India, Air India Express and Vistara, which are currently the major airlines providing business-class services in the country.

However, IndiGo says that its focus on the affordable segment will remain intact. The purpose of introducing business class is only to give more options to the passengers. The airline launched its business class service for the Delhi-Mumbai route at an initial fare of Rs 18,018. Booking for this started in August itself. IndiGo Stretch wants to cover all 12 routes by the end of next year.

What is special about Indigo Stretch?

IndiGo Stretch promises to offer passengers the ultimate travel experience. It features coupe-style seating arranged in a spacious 2-seater structure. Each seat has a pitch of 38 inches and a width of 21.3 inches, giving passengers ample space for comfort.

IndiGo stretch passengers will also get many complimentary services. Such as they will not have to pay any convenience fee. They can make advance seat selection without any additional charge. They will also get check-in priority and boarding privileges.

Special cabin design for IndiGo Stretch
