New Delhi: As part of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, the Indian Army on Monday signed eight contracts through Innovation for Defence Excellence (IDEX). According to the Defence Ministry, Qunu Labs had proposed 200 km Single Hop Quantum key distribution in the Open Challenge 2.0 under IDEX.
Contracts signed with Qunu Labs
This will replace the algorithm-based encryption system. This will further strengthen the security. The contract was signed with Qunu Labs for the purchase of Generation of Quantum Secure Key (Quantum Key Distribution). The contract was signed in the presence of Army Deputy Chief Lieutenant General NC Raja Subramani in New Delhi.
IDEX was launched on 12th April 2018 during Defence Expo India 2018. It aims to create an ecosystem to foster innovation and encourage technological development in defence and aerospace by involving research and development institutions, academia and industries including MSMEs, start-ups and innovators.
