New Delhi: The year 2024 belonged to the comedy genre. Along with horror movies, the films that made a lot of money at the box office were comedy films. After Munjya and Stree 2, now Vicky Vidya's Woh Wala Video is making a splash on the big screen.

After the immense success of Stree 2, Rajkummar Rao is once again entertaining the audience with the comedy genre. His latest movie Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video was released in theatres on October 11 and it is giving a tough competition to Jigra.

Comedy film did well over the weekend

On the first day, Rajkummar Rao's film directed by Raj Shandilya gave a tough competition to Jigra and opened with 5.5 crores on the first day. On the second day i.e. Saturday, there was a 25 percent increase in the earnings and it did a business of 6.9 crores.

Good earnings on Sunday

Now the initial collection of Vicky Vidya's Woh Wala Video on the third day has also come out. According to the early trade of Saccanilk, the Rajkumar and Tripti Dimri starrer film has earned 5.02 crores (till the time of writing the news) on the third day i.e. Sunday at the domestic box office. However, these are initial figures.

Comparison of VVKWWV with Jigra

If Vicky Vidya's that video is compared to Alia Bhatt's movie Jigra, then Rajkumar's movie has performed better because this movie has been released only in Hindi, while Jigra has been released in Telugu language along with Hindi. Jigra has earned a total of around 16 crores till now, while Rajkumar's movie's collection is around 18 crores, which can increase or decrease according to the exact figures. 

What is the story of the film?

The story of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video directed by Raj Shandilya revolves around the Suhagrat CD which gets lost. Rajkumar Rao and Tripti Dimri are sharing the screen for the first time in the film and Mallika Sherawat's entry was surprising for the audience. Vijay Raj is also playing an important role in the film.
