Sitapur News: Big news has come from Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh, where the Sitapur police stopped the supporters of Kundarki assembly constituency SP candidate Haji Rizwan who were going to meet SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. All the supporters were taken to the city police station, the number of supporters detained is said to be 27. Samajwadi Party national secretary and former MLA Anoop Gupta said that the police is not telling the reason for stopping them, SP supporters are not even able to go to the toilet. On this matter, the SP chief and Akhilesh Yadav targeted the UP government fiercely by tweeting.

Akhilesh Yadav wrote in the tweeted post that all those people who were stopped from casting their votes in Kundarki openly or whose votes were cast by someone else were coming to Lucknow to tell their plight, because there was no hearing at the local level. This would have exposed the electoral scam of the BJP, so they have been detained by the UP police in Sitapur midway. We request the Honorable President, Honorable Supreme Court, Election Commission, Human Rights Commission, Honorable Governor and all the newspapers and news channels of the country to take immediate cognizance of this matter and ensure that the BJP government of UP does not commit any injustice or atrocity against those who want to raise their voice for their right to vote.

On the day of polling, SP had made allegations against the police
On the day of polling on 20 November, the Samajwadi Party wrote on the social media site X that at booth number 162 in Kundarki Assembly of Moradabad, the police are snatching voters' slips and stopping voting. Election Commission should take cognizance and ensure fair polling. SP has also accused the police of intimidation at booth number 240, 371 in Kundarki and said that voters are being stopped from voting. Election Commission should take cognizance and ensure fair polling.
