UP News: Knowledge Park police station of Greater Noida has exposed a sensational car robbery and arrested three students. These three students had stolen a Venue car from a car dealership on the pretext of trial. The incident took place on September 26 when these youths reached the car dealer for trial and fled with the car. The police have recovered the stolen car.
The three accused arrested by the police are studying in reputed universities of Greater Noida. They were wearing helmets during the trial so that their identity remains hidden. They made a daring attempt to escape with the car from the spot by pushing the employees of the car dealer. The police was informed immediately after this incident, after which a team was formed and investigation was started.
The police scanned the footage of more than 100 CCTV cameras in the vicinity and identified the accused through surveillance. After investigation, Shrey, Aniket and Deepanshu were arrested. These three accused are students of B.Tech, BPT and B.Sc respectively. During interrogation, it was revealed that one of these accused wanted to take his girlfriend for a ride in a new car. That is why they planned to rob a new car and robbed the Venue car on the pretext of trial.
Additional DCP of Greater Noida, Ashok Kumar, said that the police have arrested the accused after examining more than 100 CCTV footage. The stolen Venue car has also been recovered from their possession. At present, all three have been sent to jail.
