Indian stocks opened flat in the second session of the week. On Tuesday, Nifty opened at 24,318.80 after a slight decline of 20.40 points or 0.08%. Nifty Bank opened at 51,436.70 with a gain of 177.40 points or 0.35%. Sensex opened at 79,917.90 with a decline of 87.14 points or 0.11%.
During early trading on Tuesday, NTPC, ICICI Bank, Coal India, BEL and Dr Reddy's Labs were on the top of the Nifty's list of fastest-growing stocks. These stocks saw a rise of half a percent to one and a quarter percent.
At the same time, the names of M&M, Bharti Airtel, Shriram Finance, Infosys and HDFC Life were on top in the list of weak stocks of Nifty. These stocks were seen slipping from 1% to 2%.
