Kailash Gahlot News: Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot today flagged off buses on two important routes 892 STL and 892 SPL. The ceremony took place at Dhulsiras village in Bijwasan. MLA Bhupinder Singh June was also present at the event.

The Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS) will manage the newly launched 892 STL route, while the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) will operate buses on route 892 SPL. In addition, to improve the frequency of buses on route 716 and make travel easier for passengers, the Delhi government has added two additional buses on this route.

In a statement, Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot said, "By introducing new routes 892 STL and 892 SPL, and increasing bus frequency on route 716, we are working towards making public transport more accessible to all, especially the residents of rural areas and outer Delhi."

Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot said that the purpose of launching bus route 892 SPL is to provide safe and smooth transport facility to school children so that they do not face any difficulty in going to and coming from school. Our goal is to ensure smooth, safe and reliable public transport for all and to make daily travel easier for Delhiites. 

This new route is designed for better connectivity of the nearby villages and colonies of Nanakhedi, Badusarai, Kanganheri and Chhawla. Starting from Nanakhedi and ending at Dwarka Sector-10 (Indira Gandhi Hospital and Dwarka Court), the route is approximately 19 km long. Major stops along the way include Dwarka Sector-21, Dwarka Sector-8, Dwarka Sector-10 Metro Station, Government Senior School Kangan Heri, BSF Camp Chhawla, Dhulsiras Ancient Temple, Delhi Police Staff Quarters and Dwarka District Court Complex.

With an average travel duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes, two AC CNG buses operated by DIMTS will provide a comfortable and eco-friendly travel option for passengers on this route. This bus route is specially designed for school students, which will cover a distance of 6.5 km from Dhulsiras village to Chhawla school.

There will be two trips in the morning and two in the afternoon, to suit the schedule of the students. Air-conditioned CNG buses operated by DTC will be run on this route, covering major stops like Dhulsiras Village, Bamnoli, BSF Camp Chhawla and Chhawla Village. This will make it easier for students from nearby colonies and villages to commute to school. This route is the first of its kind in Delhi, there are plans to expand such services to other areas in the future.

Route 716 operates from Shivaji Stadium to Dhulisiras. Two more buses have been added to this route in view of the increased number of local commuters and their travel needs. Earlier, only two buses were scheduled on this route. Now with the addition of two more AC CNG buses, the frequency has doubled, making a total of 16 trips possible per day. Covering a distance of 30.5 km, this route connects major places, including major hospitals like Lady Hardinge Hospital, RML Hospital, Palam Health Centre and Indira Gandhi Hospital in Dwarka. 

The route also passes through important places like Shivaji Stadium, Central Terminal, Talkatora Garden, 11-Statue, Taj Hotel, Shastri Bazaar, Sadar Bazaar (Delhi Cantt), Palam, Dwarka Telephone Exchange, Dwarka Court and Dwarka Sector-23. It provides convenient access to Shivaji Stadium, Dhaula Kuan and Dwarka Sector-10 metro stations.
