Kullu Accident : CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has expressed deep grief over the death of six people due to landslide and falling of trees near Gurdwara Manikaran Sahib in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. He also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Three people were injured in this incident. The Chief Minister expressed his deep condolences to the bereaved families and prayed to Almighty God to grant peace to the departed souls and for the speedy recovery of the injured. The Chief Minister has directed the District Administration Kullu to ensure immediate relief work at the site of the incident.

The Chief Minister said that the best treatment and every possible help should be provided to the injured. As soon as the information of the accident was received, SDM Kullu Vikas Shukla left for the spot. Eyewitnesses said that a tree broke and fell near the road in front of Manikaran Gurudwara, due to which a street vendor standing there, a Sumo rider and three tourists were crushed. Six people have died in the accident.

It is feared that due to the landslide, the tree fell down from the mountain along with its roots and a large amount of debris also came down with it, due to which this accident happened. The administration has started trying to evacuate people safely as soon as possible. 

Kullu MLA Sunder Singh Thakur said that people have been injured due to the fall of a hollow tree near Manikaran Gurudwara in Kullu. Four of the injured are from outside and two are locals. Initially, it can be said that the hollow tree has fallen from a great height. Due to this, people who set up hawkers on the road have also been injured. He said that the administration is present at the spot.
