Siddharthnagar News: A heartbreaking incident has come to light in Bansi of Siddharthnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. Six police personnel including the Kotwal have been burnt due to cylinder blast in a restaurant here. The incident happened at 6 am today. All the injured police personnel have been admitted to Medical College Siddharthnagar. A restaurant named Chiefest Cafe operates in the basement of Nandlal Jewelers building located in front of Tehsil Bhawan. This restaurant was inaugurated just seven days ago.

According to the information, the restaurant staff started working as usual at 5 am. Then a cylinder caught fire and within no time the fire engulfed the restaurant. When the Bansi Kotwali police got the information, Kotwal Ram Kripal Shukla informed the fire brigade and reached the spot with the police team. He was busy extinguishing the fire with his team, when another cylinder kept in the restaurant also caught fire. Due to which the cylinder exploded and Bansi Kotwal Ram Kripal Shukla and five police personnel of the fire brigade also got severely burnt.

Cracks appeared in the wall of HDFC Bank as well.
Except the police inspector, the condition of other police personnel is serious. They have been admitted to Medical College Siddharthnagar. The burnt police personnel include Ravindra Kumar Yadav, Satyavir Yadav, Santosh Kumar Chaurasia and Tej Bahadur Yadav of Fire Service Siddharthnagar along with Sub Inspector Vijay Prakash Dixit of Bansi police station. There is a branch of HDFC Bank right above the restaurant. Next to it is Nandlal Jewellers and a gym centre. Due to the explosion of the gas cylinder, cracks have appeared in the walls of all the establishments. There has been no damage to any material in any establishment.

In this regard, Superintendent of Police Prachi Singh has said that information about the fire was received at 6:00 am today. Immediately after receiving the information, fire service and police personnel reached there and tried to control the fire. But there was a cylinder there which exploded, due to which 6 of our policemen got injured. The law and order situation is normal.
