New Delhi: The entire country is mourning the death of veteran industrialist Ratan Tata. Three days after his death, his trusted aide Shantanu Naidu has written an emotional post on social media, writing how difficult it has been for him to accept that he will never see Ratan Tata smiling again.

Ratan Tata died late Wednesday night at the age of 86. The whole country is shocked and saddened by his death. Shantanu Naidu has been Ratan Tata's closest friend. He is also the youngest manager of Tata Trust.

"I'll never see him smile again."

Naidu, who met Ratan Tata for the first time in 2014, also thanked those who sent him condolence messages over the past three days. In the Instagram post, a Mumbai policeman can be seen patting and consoling a teary-eyed Naidu. "Finally getting a chance to sit down and feel things. Still trying to accept that I will never see him smile again or make him smile," Shantanu wrote in one of his posts.

Your message was encouraging to me

Shantanu further wrote in his post, In the last 3 days, strangers from across the country have sent so many messages. Reading these, it feels like you and I have been family for years. Every time I thought that the sorrow would end, a message or gesture from one of you would give me a little encouragement.

He further said, 'These generous policemen of Mumbai were so kind that they hugged the whole city. It felt like a farewell gift. Thank you, that's what I really mean.'
