
Raipur police have arrested 10 individuals, including a former Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, in connection with the ₹70 lakh cash and jewelry robbery that took place in Chhattisgarh’s capital, Raipur. The arrests were made after an intensive investigation, officials confirmed on Thursday (February 13, 2025).

How the Robbery Was Executed
- Complainant Manoharan Velu was at home with his two sisters, Ranjani and Prema, when the incident occurred around 3:30 PM.
- Two robbers in army uniforms arrived at the house, covering their faces with handkerchiefs, and started talking.
- Soon after, three more people, including a woman, entered the house.
- The robbers held the siblings hostage at gunpoint, looted cash and gold jewelry, and fled in a car.

✔ After the robbery, police immediately set up blockades across the city to track down the suspects.
✔ Considering the seriousness of the case, 10 special crime branch teams were formed to investigate.
