UP 69000 Teachers Recruitment: After the order of the High Court double bench, the candidates of the reserved category are continuously agitating for the demand of appointment under the 69000 teacher recruitment. On Friday, the residence of Cabinet Minister Sanjay Nishad was surrounded. The candidates who reached here in large numbers raised slogans and demanded to follow the decision of the High Court double bench and give appointment.
Earlier, these candidates had gheraoed the residences of Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Union Minister Anupriya Patel and State Cabinet Minister Ashish Patel, BJP State President Bhupendra Chaudhary, Cabinet Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar. The candidates say that all these ministerial leaders have only given assurances so far and no action seems to be taken on anyone's assurances.
Teacher recruitment candidates expressed their displeasure.
Amarendra Patel, who is leading the agitation and protest, said that we are also gheraoing the residences of OBC and SC class leaders and ministers so that they meet Chief Minister Yogi ji and resolve this issue. All of us candidates have been wandering on the streets for the last 4 years. Now that the court's decision has come, it should be followed.
Amarendra Patel said that this recruitment process started in the year 2018. When its result came, injustice was done to the candidates of reserved category on a large scale and they were denied jobs. After going through a long agitation and judicial process, on 13 August 2024, the double bench of Lucknow High Court has given a verdict in the interest of the candidates of reserved category and has ordered the appointment of candidates by following the rules. But, the government is making excuses in this matter, we want the government to resolve this matter as soon as possible and issue a schedule to tell when we victims are being appointed.
Patel said that the court has cancelled the original selection list of 69000 teacher recruitment and ordered the government to issue a new list within three months following the reservation rules. But the government has not started any work yet and has only held a meeting. Our demand is that the government should issue the schedule of our selection process.
