Panchak lasts for 5 days in every month. When the moon transits in Dhanishta, Shatabhisha, Purva Bhadrapada, Uttara Bhadrapada and Revati constellations, it is called Panchak.

If you are planning to travel somewhere during Panchak, then take special care of the direction of travel. Traveling in the south direction should be avoided during Panchak. If you have to travel in this direction for some important work, then walk a few steps in the north direction and then travel in this direction.
