PM Modi today launched several development projects worth more than Rs 12,200 crore. During this, he also traveled in the Namo Bharat train between Sahibabad RRTS station and New Ashok Nagar RRTS station. PM Modi inaugurated the 13 km long section of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor built at a cost of about Rs 4,600 crore between Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar. With this, Delhi got the first Namo Bharat connectivity. This will make travel between Delhi and Meerut much easier. 

Journey from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar

During this, PM Modi traveled from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar. Passenger operations will start in this train from 5 pm on Sunday and trains will be available at an interval of 15 minutes. The fare from New Ashok Nagar station to Meerut South is Rs 150 for standard coach and Rs 225 for premium coach. Out of the newly built 13 km section, six kilometers is underground and this includes Anand Vihar, a major station of the corridor. Officials said that this is the first time that Namo Bharat trains will run on the underground section. With this inauguration, Namo Bharat trains will now reach Delhi. 

Namo Bharat Corridor will be 55 kilometers long

Let us tell you that PM Modi inaugurated the 17 km long section between Sahibabad and Duhai Depot on October 20 last year. Officials said that at present a 42 km long section of the corridor between Sahibabad and Meerut South is operational, which has nine stations. He informed that with this inauguration, the operational section of the Namo Bharat Corridor will increase to 55 km, which will have a total of 11 stations. With the start of operations on this section, Meerut city is now directly connected to Delhi. Officials said that this will reduce the travel time by one-third, allowing passengers to travel from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South in just 40 minutes. 

First section of Delhi Metro's fourth phase inaugurated

Apart from this, PM Modi will inaugurate a 2.8 km long section built at a cost of about Rs 1,200 crore between Janakpuri and Krishna Park under the fourth phase of Delhi Metro. This is the first section of the fourth phase of Delhi Metro to be inaugurated. This will benefit other areas including Krishna Park, Vikaspuri and parts of Janakpuri in West Delhi. PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of the 26.5 km long Rithala-Kundli section of the fourth phase of Delhi Metro. Its construction will cost around Rs 6,230 crore. This corridor will connect Rithala in Delhi to Nathupur (Kundli) in Haryana, which will greatly improve connectivity in the northwestern parts of Delhi and Haryana. This will make travel easier in Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh through the extended Red Line. At the same time, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the new state-of-the-art building of the Central Research Institute of Ayurveda (CARI) in Rohini. It will be constructed at a cost of about Rs 185 crore.
