Provident Fund: Do you want to withdraw your PF money? But your application is rejected on some pretext or the other. You also believe that you must have done something wrong in filling the application. On the other hand, PF officials take bribe and quickly pay the money. This may not have happened to you, but it is happening in Provident Fund offices. The Employees Provident Fund Organization has started a big campaign against this type of corruption. The 12 officers caught have been dismissed. This action has been taken within the last two months. Out of these 12 officers, eight are Group B officers and four are Group A officers and Assistant PF Commissioner. They have been given premature retirement under the PF law. Currently, many officers are also on the radar of CBI. 

18 officers were suspended

EPFO has also suspended 18 officers. Out of these, 10 are Group B officers and eight are Group A officers. Out of these, 16 are accused of corruption and taking bribe. Two are accused of personal criminal involvement. Apart from this, disciplinary action has been initiated against seven officers on the basis of non-performance. Auto settlement for withdrawals up to Rs 1 lakh

EPFO has launched a campaign against corruption after receiving complaints of large scale irregularities in PF withdrawal and rejection of applications for not receiving bribe. To make withdrawal of PF money easier, auto settlement has also been started in many cases. One lakh rupees for education, marriage and housing needs will be available only on the basis of online application. 25-30 percent of claims are being paid without visiting the office or meeting the officials.
