Now a tussle has started between the ruling party and the opposition regarding the timing of the Joint Parliamentary Committee regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill. Jagdambika Pal, chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee formed to review the Waqf Amendment Bill, 2024, has again said on Thursday that the committee's report in this regard is ready and it will be presented in the winter session of Parliament on time, while the opposition members demand that the tenure of the Joint Committee on Waqf be extended further.
