Labyrinth

The film Bhool Bhulaiyaa, directed by director Priyadarshan, was released on the big screen in the year 2007. Actors like Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Ameesha Patel and Shiney Ahuja were present in the lead roles in this film.

it would not be wrong to say that this movie started promoting the genre of horror comedy films in Hindi cinema. Bhool Bhulaiyaa proved to be a superhit at the box office and the film did a business of  around 50 crores at the box office.

Bootnath and Bhootnath Returns 

Amitabh Bachchan starrer Bhootnath series is also included in horror comedy films. The first part of this film was released in 2008. According to Bollywood Hungama report, this movie had collected 23.89 crores at that time. While Bhootnath Returns came in 2014 and tasted success with a collection of 39 crores.

Golmaal Again

In the year 2017, director Rohit Shetty, famous for action movies, also presented the fourth installment of the Golmaal franchise in a horror comedy. Starring Ajay Devgan, Kunal Khemu, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra and Shreyas Talpade, this film rocked the box office and earned 205.69 crores.

Stree

Munjya's producer duo Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik started their horror comedy universe with the film Stree. Starring Rajkumar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee, the film grossed  129.90 crores at the box office.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2

How can the name of superstar Kartik Aaryan's horror comedy film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 be left out of this list. In the year 2022, where on one hand films were proving to be unsuccessful due to the boycott trend, on the other hand Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 won the hearts of the audience with its brilliant story and made a blockbuster collection of Rs 185.92 crore at the box office.

Wolf 

Apart from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Varun Dhawan starrer film Bhediya also entertained the fans a lot as a horror comedy in 2022. Performing well at the box office, this film earned around 66.65 crores.

Munjya

After Stree and Bhediya, Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik have come up with Munjya. The Abhay Verma and Sharvari Wagh starrer movie has achieved success by collecting  68 crores at the box office in 13 days of its release.
