Muzaffarnagar. Muzaffarnagar Crime News: In greed for lakhs of rupees, a friend killed a young man by attacking him with an axe and a knife. The accused hid the body in the bathroom outside his own house for two days. Then with the help of a garbage collector, he got the body thrown in the Mansoorpur police station area. The police have arrested the accused.
New Mandi Kotwali in-charge Bablu Singh said, on Saturday, Ravindra, a resident of Avadh Vihar, had lodged a missing report of his 30-year-old son Dharmendra, who worked at Radha Govind Automobile showroom. The police started the investigation and scanned the CCTV footage in the area around his house. In it, Dharmendra was seen going towards A2Z Colony on his scooter on Saturday morning.

When the police investigated on the basis of the footage, Dharmendra's scooty was found parked outside the house of Rohit, a resident of Vasundhara Colony. When the police questioned Rohit, he kept misleading the police. The police was still investigating when on Monday afternoon, the Mansoorpur police station found the body of a young man in a sack behind the Swastik factory near the Jadauda bus stand, on whose body there were marks of sharp weapons.
On receiving this information, the Nai Mandi police station got the body identified from the relatives and it turned out to be Dharmendra's. After this, the police took Rohit into custody and interrogated him strictly. Then he told the story of Dharmendra's murder.
First, he attacked with an axe and then stabbed with a knife
Nai Mandi Kotwali in-charge Bablu Singh said, Rohit and Dharmendra worked in Radha Govind Automobile showroom. Rohit had borrowed five thousand rupees from Dharmendra. Rohit had called Dharmendra to his house on Saturday to give him the money. Dharmendra had gone on a scooter. At that time Dharmendra also had three lakh sixty four thousand rupees of the company. Seeing this money, Rohit got greedy and he attacked Dharmendra with an axe. Then he stabbed him to death with a knife.

The body was put in a sack and placed in the bathroom outside the house and locked. To dispose of the body, Rohit struck a deal with a garbage collector for Rs 50,000 and on Sunday night he put the body in a sack and threw it in the Mansoorpur police station area.
Nai Mandi in-charge said, Rohit has been arrested. The weapons used in the murder will be recovered on his information. Rohit was alone in the house at the time of the incident.

Dharmendra and Rohit were good friends and stood by each other in good and bad times. They used to help each other financially when needed, but Rohit was blinded by the amount of Rs 3.64 lakh that Dharmendra had. He did not even think that the person he was going to kill was his best friend.
After Rohit's arrest, the police is also investigating whether any member of Rohit's family was involved in the crime. Those who worked with Dharmendra said that the two were often seen together. After Dharmendra's death, his wife and his family members are inconsolable.
