Mafia don of Uttar Pradesh and former MLA from Mau Assembly Mukhtar Ansari died on Thursday evening. After his health suddenly deteriorated in Banda jail, he was taken to the medical college for treatment. Mukhtar died due to a heart attack during treatment. 

Mukhtar Ansari last contested the 2017 assembly elections, in which he won. Mukhtar Ansari was MLA a total of five times. According to the election affidavit given by Mukhtar Ansari in 2017, the mafia don had a total wealth of Rs 21.88 crore (Mukhtar Ansari Net Worth). If we talk about liabilities, the total was Rs 6.91 crore.

Mukhtar Ansari , who has jewelry, worth more than Rs 72 lakh, 
has only one bank account in his name, in which an amount of Rs 1.25 lakh is deposited. However, there are 6 bank accounts in the name of his wife and children, in which more than Rs 10 lakh is deposited. Sons Abbas and Umar had Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavor, and BMW. Afsa Ansari's brothers also had luxury cars like Audi, BMW, and Hyundai Elantra. The value of these luxury vehicles was in crores and most of them were confiscated by the police after declaring them 'Benami'. 

Assets worth Rs 600 crore were seized. 
Mukhtar Ansari had earned crores of rupees wrongly. So far 155 FIRs have been registered against the members of the Mukhtar Ansari gang. Mukhtar's assets worth around Rs 600 crore have been seized so far. His illegal business worth more than Rs 2100 crore has been stopped.
