Delhi Weather Update: Amid signs of change in weather, monsoon has once again become active in Delhi. IMD has predicted rain in Delhi and surrounding cities till September 6.
Possibility of rain in Delhi on Tuesday
IMD has issued a yellow alert for Delhi. During this time, Delhi will remain cloudy.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain or thundershowers in Delhi along with strong winds till September 6.
The maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi on Tuesday are likely to be around 34 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra had said on Saturday that due to La Nina, there is a possibility of strong "cyclonic activity" in the Bay of Bengal. Its effect can be partially seen in many parts of Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Delhi in the coming days. Due to this, there may be rain in Delhi.
According to IMD, the maximum temperature in Delhi on Monday was recorded at 33.6 degrees Celsius, which is slightly below normal for this season.
The weather was pleasant in the national capital on Monday morning. It rained in many areas of Delhi. According to the IMD, rainfall between 0.01 to 0.04 mm was recorded during the day. So far this year, 837.4 mm rainfall has been recorded, which is 56 percent more than normal.
According to the IMD, the humidity during the day ranged between 88 per cent and 72 per cent. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the Air Quality Index (AQI) in the national capital was recorded at 86 at 4 pm, which falls in the 'satisfactory' category.
