Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati has reacted to the incident of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's statue falling in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra. She posted on the social media site 'X' and wrote that one should have a positive attitude and not a negative attitude towards any matter of kings, maharajas, saints, gurus and great men belonging to any community or religion, and it is not right to do any politics under its cover.
Mayawati further wrote in the post, "Installing their statues and naming them, etc., should be done with a positive attitude and there should not be any kind of malicious and political selfishness hidden behind them, which is visible now. Very unfortunate."
The BSP chief wrote, "Like Maharashtra, in any other state, if a statue falls on its own, strict action should be taken against the concerned officials, and no politics should be done under its guise, then it would be better."
