According to the Vedic calendar, 29th January is Mauni Amavasya. In Sanatan Dharma, it is a custom to take a bath in the Ganges on Mauni Amavasya. On this auspicious occasion, devotees take a bath and meditate on the banks of the Ganges and worship Lord Shiva.

A rare combination of Shivvas Yoga is being formed on Mauni Amavasya . The combination of Shivvas is till 6:05 pm on Mauni Amavasya i.e. 29th January. Sadhaks can worship Lord Shiva at their convenience. On this day, Lord Shiva will be seated on Kailash with Maa Gauri.
Siddhi Yoga
There is also a coincidence of Siddhi Yoga on Magha Amavasya or Mauni Amavasya. The coincidence of Siddhi Yoga is till 09:22 pm. Astrologers consider Siddhi Yoga auspicious.
