Mahakumbh 2025: Maha Kumbh is starting in Prayagraj from 13 January i.e. tomorrow. Before the start of Maha Kumbh, there is a gathering of saints and sages there. Saints and sages have reached there from different parts of the country. Like every year, this year also Naga sadhus have reached there amidst the severe cold. But the question is, how do Naga sadhus live there even in such cold?

BBC spoke to some Naga Sadhus in one of its media reports to know this. A Naga Sadhu said that when it comes to Sadhana, there is no issue of cold. See, there is a lot of power in Sadhana. The ash that we apply on the body also prevents cold. We are Aghori Babas, so we have applied ash.

Another Naga Sadhu said that it gives warmth to the body. It is beneficial for the body and does not cause any disease. Another Naga Baba said during the conversation that worship God, this is the biggest. This is the biggest garment, there is no other garment bigger than this. If you sit for 12 hours or 14 hours, then these legs will also ache. This stomach will also shrink.

Amrit Snan will start from tomorrow
It is worth mentioning that the Maha Kumbh starting on the banks of Triveni Sangam will be organized till February 26 this time. During this time there will be six royal baths. 40 to 45 crore devotees are expected to come to Prayagraj in the Maha Kumbh, who will take Amrit Snan in the holy confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. Devotees will perform the ancient tradition of Kalpavas of Maha Kumbh on the banks of Sangam.

Devotees will regularly perform Kalpavas on the banks of Sangam for a month. For this, Prayagraj Mela Authority has made special arrangements under the guidance of CM Yogi. Kalpavas will begin on January 13 from Paush Purnima. In this Maha Kumbh, Kalpavas will be performed on the banks of Sangam from January 13 to February 12.
