Hapur News: Villagers of Nawada village in Hapur district of UP are in panic these days. The main reason for this is that the leopard has made many animals of the villagers its prey. It is being told that the leopard has entered the land of farmers from the forest of pilgrimage city Garhmukteshwar and is causing damage to crops and animals in the fields. Now the villagers are afraid to even go towards the fields.
A team of the forest department is engaged in catching the leopard. Traps have been set up in the village and it is expected that the leopard will soon be in the clutches of the forest department team. Kumar Sagar, who lives in village Nawada Khurd in Bahadurgarh of Garhmukteshwar tehsil area, said that there is a sound of leopard coming to the village. Leopard's footprints are visible in the village. It is being said that a leopard also attacked a young man, in which he narrowly escaped. The leopard has also snatched away the animals of the villagers, goats etc. in the village. There is fear among the villagers due to the leopard coming to the land of the farmers.
What do the forest department officials say?
Forest department ranger Karan Singh said that a leopard has come from the Garhmukteshwar forest to the farmers' land in village Nawada. Traps have been set up in the village to catch the leopard. Four members of the forest department team are working day and night to catch the leopard.
He has appealed to the villagers not to leave any child alone outside the house, and also that four to five people should go together while going to the fields or forests in the village. Efforts are being made continuously to catch the leopard. The leopard will be caught soon.
