Meerut. Lawyers beat up a fruit vendor selling mangoes. He is accused of spraying urine on the mangoes. During this, the fruit vendor is seen apologizing and picking up the mangoes lying on his ground. The video of the assault is being widely circulated on the internet media.
In the video, a middle aged man from the Muslim community is seen selling mangoes in the court. Some people standing there in advocate's dress are accusing him of spraying urine on mangoes. Pointing towards a man, they are saying, he has seen the mango seller doing this.
The video is from near the post office in the court
All the mangoes of the mango seller are lying on the ground and he is gathering them with folded hands and asking the young man making the video not to do so. However, Dainik Jagran does not confirm any such video. Inspector Civil Lines said that the video is from near the post office in the court.
The fruit vendor left with his cart after the incident. He has not lodged any complaint with the police or anyone else. When we went to the spot and inquired, people accused us of spraying urine on the mangoes. When we asked for proof or a video of this, no one gave it. An investigation is being conducted on the basis of the video that has been circulated.
