New Delhi. About three hours after Republican Party candidate Donald Trump was elected the 47th President of America, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated him and within 12 hours the two leaders had a telephone conversation. PM Modi became the first global leader to talk to Trump after winning the presidential election.

"We will work together for world peace"

PM Modi called Trump his friend and not only termed his victory as historic but also gave a message of strengthening the strategic relations between India and America by working together with him.

During this, both the leaders said that they will work together for world peace. Donald Trump, who has mentioned Modi many times during his election tours by taking his name and calling him his special friend, once again reiterated during the talks that he considers Modi and India as his true friends.

It is clear that the colours of friendship between the US President and Modi, which were seen in big events like 'Howdy Modi' in 2019 and 'Namaste Trump' in 2020 during Trump's first term, will continue in his second term as well.

Addressing Trump, Modi wrote on X-'Heartiest congratulations on your historic victory. Based on the success of your last tenure, I am looking forward to mutual cooperation in making the India-US global comprehensive and strategic partnership even stronger. Let us work together for the welfare of our people, global peace, stability and prosperity.'

Modi shared these four special photos

In this post, Modi has also shared four different photos of his meetings with Trump during his first term (2016-20). One of these photos is of the 'Howdy Modi' program in the American city of Houston on September 22, 2019.

This program took place two months before the last US elections. In this, Modi held the hand of the then President Trump and gave the slogan 'Abki Baar-Trump Sarkar'. Although Trump lost the election then, but after almost five years, PM Modi's above prediction has proved true.

PM wrote- Friend Trump, it was a good thing

After talking to Trump late at night, Modi wrote on Instagram - 'I had a very good conversation with my friend Donald Trump. I congratulated him on his great victory. I hope to work with him to further strengthen India-US relations in technology, defense, energy, space and many other areas.'

According to sources, President-elect Trump told Modi that he is the first global leader to call him after his victory and that he considers India and Modi as true friends. Trump said that the whole world loves Modi.

Trump sees his father in Modi

Experts say that this time the chemistry between Modi and Trump may appear stronger than their first term. Trump himself has indicated this during the election campaign.

Once he said - 'PM Modi of India is my friend. He is very nice. Before he came (before becoming PM) India was very unstable. From the outside he looks like a father to you. He is a very wonderful person but very strong.'
