UP News: In Lucknow's Gomti Nagar area, a retired IPS officer's 10-year-old servant committed theft in his house. In this case, the retired IPS officer has filed a complaint against Pankaj and Vishal in Gomti Nagar police station, after which the police is investigating the matter. A few days ago, this servant had also committed theft in the house of the retired IPS officer's daughter and escaped by apologizing when he was caught.

 

Raju Babu Singh, son of late Kamal Kant Singh, who lives in Vineet Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, is a retired IPS officer. Raju Babu often stays out for his personal work and his wife Sudha used to stay at his house. The retired IPS's wife is suffering from arthritis due to which she is unable to walk. The retired IPS's daughter Aishwarya lives in Omaxe Heights, Lucknow. Pankaj Gupta, a resident of Badshahpur, Jaunpur, was a servant in the daughter's house. This Pankaj used to come to their house to collect the things kept by the daughter and often the daughter's driver Vishal also used to come with him.

 

The retired IPS said that Pankaj painted his house in the month of July. During this, he stole his wife's jewellery worth Rs 46.80 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh in cash when he got the chance. The retired IPS said that during the painting, on the pretext of setting up the room, both of them made the cupboard key disappear and when they got the chance, they stole his wife's jewellery worth Rs 46.80 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh in cash. This included jewellery belonging to the nephew's wife as well. Then they kept the key at another place. After a lot of searching, the key was found on Saturday and when the cupboard was opened, the theft was discovered.

 

The retired IPS said that when he told his daughter about this incident, he came to know that in August 2024, Pankaj Kumar had stolen 50 thousand rupees from daughter Aishwarya's house. When questioned, he accepted it and returned it but no complaint was lodged. Pankaj's phone is switched off since the incident, the police have registered an FIR in the case and are investigating.
