The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided several locations in Ranchi, Jharkhand and recovered a large amount of cash. ED has seized huge cash from the house of the servant of Sanjeev Lal, personal secretary of Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam. According to sources, the cash is estimated to be between Rs 20 to 30 crore. At present note counting machines are being procured.

The ED has booked Virendra K, Chief Engineer, Jharkhand Rural Development Department, in February 2023 in a money laundering case related to alleged irregularities in the implementation of some schemes. Ram was arrested.

ED believes that this is part of black money. Actually, ED was investigating the bribery case of Rs 10,000 and during that time, ED found some such links which seemed to connect to the minister. ED had received information that corruption was going on in Alamgir Alam's ministry and this money was going to the houses of servants. After this, ED raided the house of Alamgir's personal secretary's servant and was surprised to see so much cash there. 

The PM had raised the issue

Just a few days ago, when PM Modi was campaigning in Jharkhand, he had raised the issue of corruption and this action took place a few days after his rally in which a large amount of cash was found. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey attacked Congress on this issue and said, 'Let the counting be done, this count will reach 50 crores. The entire Jharkhand government is neck-deep in corruption. 

When more than Rs 350 crore cash was found from a Congress MP, 
let us tell you that in December last year also a large amount of cash was recovered in Jharkhand. IT had recovered more than Rs 350 crore in cash from the premises of Congress Rajya Sabha MP and businessman Dheeraj Sahu. Responding to this, he said that the cash recovered in the raid belongs to my liquor companies. Liquor business is done in cash only and it has nothing to do with the Congress PartybelongedAlamgir had defended Sahu,
BJP MLAs had said that Dheeraj Sahu had accumulated this wealth by exploiting the resources of Jharkhand and violating the rights of the poor. BJP MLAs came to the Assembly House wearing placards around their necks, on which it was written that Congress is a black empire. At that time Alamgir Alam had defended Dheeraj Sahu. Alamgir Alam, while defending Dheeraj Sahu, said that this is not a matter of the Assembly, BJP is using the Assembly as a platform to shine its politics, which is not right. Neither has IT given any statement yet. Anyway, the money does not belong only to Dheeraj Sahu, but to his business family.

Who is Alamgir Alam
Alamgir Alam has been a four-time Congress MLA from Pakur Assembly and is currently the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Rural Development in the state government. Before this, Alamgir Alam was also the Speaker of Jharkhand Assembly from 20 October 2006 to 12 December 2009. After inheriting politics, Alamgir entered politics by winning the election of Sarpanch. He became MLA for the first time in 2000 and since then has become MLA 4 times.
