
In Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh, the bride's side sent the wedding procession back without sending off the bride. According to the information, the wedding procession reached the village of Udauli in the district on Sunday. After the arrival of the wedding procession, the bride's side welcomed the wedding party members. The wedding party members danced a lot during the Dwar Pooja and Jai Mal program.
As soon as they reached the mandap, the people of the girl's side broke the marriage and refused to send the bride away. The people of the groom's side pleaded many times, the ruckus continued throughout the night. People of both the sides clashed with each other, there was also a fight. Finally in the morning the baraatis had to return empty-handed without the bride.
The marriage was broken due to the Kuldevta not matching.
Actually the case is from Safdarganj police station area of Barabanki district, where the marriage procession had reached Udhauli village last Sunday. On Monday morning, the people from the boy's side reached the police station and gave a written complaint to the police that the people from the girl's side want to break the marriage with the intention of grabbing the gold and silver jewellery brought for the girl, while the people from the girl's side said that the marriage was broken because the Kuldevta could not match. The bride alleges that the groom came to his baraat after consuming alcohol, so she refused to marry.
At present, Safdarjung police has made a compromise between the two parties. Under the compromise, the people of the boy's side have been asked to return the dowry items. Along with this, a written agreement has been signed in front of the police with the consent of both the parties to break the marriage.
