Now actor Gurmeet Choudhary is feeling proud to play the title role of a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent. He has played the title role in the web series Commander Karan Saxena, which recently aired on Disney Plus Hotstar.
This show is inspired by the protagonist of the novel written by Amit Khan with the same name (Commander Karan Saxena). Gurmeet's father was a military officer, did he ever think of joining the army or RAW? Talking to Dainik Jagran, Gurmeet said, 'I was bitten by the acting bug since childhood, but I always wanted to do something for the country. After growing up, I realized that you cannot serve the country only by being in the army. Ordinary citizens can also serve the country. I try to serve the country as a common citizen.'
Whether the project works or not, the actor should work
Gurmeet first played a serious role in the film The Wife, and will be seen in the role of Maharana Pratap in the upcoming show Maharana. Talking about the variety in roles, he says, 'If I get different roles, it is fun to do them. This is also challenging as an actor. When I get something good, I try to give my best in it. I believe that whether the films are successful or not, the actor should do well.'

On this, Gurmeet says, 'Be it films or web series or TV shows, all influence our society a lot.If good things are made on the digital platform, then it can inspire people a lot. That is why there should be censorship on the digital platform. However, there should be a balance with it so that it does not scare the filmmakers.

Gurmeet has played the role of a commander in the show. Who has the last word in the house? On this Gurmeet says, 'Debina (Gurmeet's wife) has the last word in the house. We don't even argue on that. She is right in many places.
