Gopashtami festival has great religious significance in Sanatan Dharma. This day is dedicated to the worship of Lord Krishna. According to the Vedic Panchag, the Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month will start on November 08 at 11:56 pm. At the same time, it will end the next day i.e. on November 09 at 10:45 pm. On the basis of the Panchang, the festival of Gopashtami will be celebrated on November 09. On this day, Abhijit Muhurta will be from 11:43 am to 12:26 pm.
Along with this, Vijay Muhurat will be from 01:53 pm to 02:37 pm. Any kind of auspicious work can be done during this time.

Gopashtami Puja Vidhi (Gopashtami Puja Vidhi 2024)
- Devotees should wake up early in the morning and clean the house before starting the puja rituals.
- After bathing, install the idol of Mother Cow along with Lord Krishna.
- Make them take a bath with Ganga water.
- Apply tilak with kumkum, gopi chandan etc.
- Light a lamp of desi ghee.
- Offer fruits, flowers, basil leaves, and home-made sweets.
- Chant Vedic mantras and worship Mother Cow along with Lord Krishna.
- At the same time, those who have cows in their house, should first give them a bath and decorate them with turmeric, roli, flowers and bells etc.
- Then feed them green grass, bread and jaggery.
- Along with this, those who do not have a cow at home, can go to the cowshed and serve the cows if they wish.
- In the evening also, worship Mother Cow along with the worship of Lord Krishna.
- Also visit Lord Krishna temples and offer special prayers.
