Indore Metro Train: In the new year, Indore residents are going to get the facility of metro train. It is expected that the metro will start running on the tracks from next month. The preparations of Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) are in the final stage. Just waiting for the green signal from the Metro Rail Safety Commissioner (CMRS). Officials say that after getting the green signal, the metro train will start operating. It is being claimed that the metro train will start running in January or February.

On Wednesday, officials said that initially the metro train will run on the highest priority corridor of about 6 km between Gandhinagar station and station number 3 of the Super Corridor. He said that the metro rail trial run was done on this corridor in September 2023. Officials further said that the length of the route will also be increased after the metro operation starts. According to Collector Ashish Singh, the start of the metro will reduce the pressure of road traffic. Apart from this, people will also get the facility of traveling in less time.

Initially, a metro train of three coaches will be operated

According to information received from sources, initially a metro train of three coaches will be run. As the number of passengers increases, three additional coaches will be added to the metro. The decision to increase the coaches will depend on the number of passengers. It is being told that 300 passengers will travel in one coach of the metro train and 50 passengers will sit on the seat. The foundation of the first phase of the metro train project costing Rs 7500 crore in Indore was laid on 14 September 2024. A round shaped metro train corridor of about 31.50 km is to be built in the city. Indore residents are excited with the news of the metro train running.
