The railway line connecting Delhi to Srinagar directly is likely to start in January. Preparations are also being made to run trains like Vande Bharat on this route. Vande Bharat train will cover the 800 km journey from Delhi to Srinagar in less than 13 hours. According to the information, trials are going on regarding this.

PM Modi will travel

According to the information, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will also travel in the first Vande Bharat Express from Delhi to Srinagar. According to the information, PM Modi will travel in the train on the day of inauguration. It is expected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Vande Bharat Srinagar-Delhi train on 26 January 2025.

Work was going on for 32 years

Work on the Kashmir Railway project has been going on for the last 32 years. Meanwhile, the railways have had to face a big challenge like cutting through high mountains to build tunnels and tracks. According to the information received so far, the New Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat sleeper train will stop at some major stations including Ambala Cantt Junction, Ludhiana Junction, Kathua, Jammu Tawi, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Sangaldan and Banihal.
