According to the Hindu calendar, Ekadashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha month will start on December 11, 2024 at 03:42 am. At the same time, this date will end on the next day i.e. on December 12, 2024 at 01:09 am. In such a situation, looking at the Panchang, Geeta Jayanti will be celebrated on December 11.
Geeta Jayanti Worship Rules (Geeta Jayanti 2024 Puja Vidhi)
Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath. Take a vow of fasting in front of Lord Krishna. Clean the temple and place an idol of Lord Krishna. Anoint him with panchamrit. Offer him yellow clothes and apply a tilak of gopi chandan. Offer a garland of yellow flowers. Light a lamp of desi ghee. Chant the Vedic mantras of Lord Krishna. Offer coriander panjiri, panchamrit and saffron kheer to the Lord.
Be sure to add Tulsi leaves in the offering. Recite the verses of Bhagavad Gita. Apart from this, visit the temples of Lord Krishna for darshan. Completely abstain from tamasic things on this day.
