According to the Vedic calendar, the festival of Diwali is celebrated on the night of Amavasya. On 31 October 2024, i.e. Thursday, Amavasya Tithi will start at 2:40 in the afternoon. Chaturdashi Tithi will prevail before that. In such a situation, according to astrological calculations, this year the festival of Diwali will be celebrated on the 31st.
