Deepotsav begins from the Trayodashi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. The festival of Dhanteras (Dhanteras Significance) dedicated to Lord Dhanvantari is celebrated on Trayodashi Tithi. On this auspicious occasion, it is customary to worship Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and Ganpati Bappa along with Lord Dhanvantari. Auspicious things are also brought home. Dhanteras 2024 Date and Time

According to the Panchang, the Trayodashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month will start on October 29 at 10:31 am. At the same time, this Tithi will end on the next day i.e. October 30 at 01:15 pm. In such a situation, the festival of Dhanteras will be celebrated on October 29. The auspicious time to worship on this day is from 06:31 pm to 08:13 pm in the evening.

 

 

Buy auspicious things at this auspicious time  

On this day, the auspicious time to buy gold, silver, vehicles etc. is from 10:31 am on October 29 (Dhanteras 2024 Shubh Muhurat) to 06:32 am the next day i.e. October 30. Apart from this, you can also buy things on October 31, whose auspicious time is as follows-

 

From 04:13 pm to 05:36 pm.  

 

From 05:36 pm to 07:14 pm.  

 

From 07:14 pm to 08:51 pm.  

 

On the day of Dhanteras, there is a tradition of lighting a lamp (yam ka deepak kab jalaya jata hai) outside the house, which is called Yam ka Deepak. The auspicious time to light the lamp on this day is as follows-

 

From 05:45 pm to 08:15 pm.

 

On this day, wake up early in the morning and after taking a bath, offer water to the Sun God. After this, clean the temple. Place the idol of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha (Dhanteras 2024 Puja Vidhi) along with Lord Dhanvantari on the pedestal. Apply roli or sandalwood tilak and offer flower garland. Light a lamp of desi ghee and perform aarti. Chanting mantras proves to be very fruitful. In the end, offer fruits and sweets and distribute prasad among the people.
