Beijing. After the NATO meeting, Russia has now decided to conduct military exercises with China. Russia is conducting joint military exercises with Xi Jinping's navy near China's southern coast. A few days after NATO allies called Beijing a supporter of the war in Ukraine, the naval forces of China and Russia began a joint exercise at a military port in southern China on Sunday.
In the NATO meeting, America had criticized Russia's decision to join China. America had said that if Russia increases relations with China, then it will have to bear the brunt of it. The Chinese Defense Ministry issued a statement saying that the armies of both sides have recently patrolled the Western and North Pacific Ocean and this operation has nothing to do with international and regional situations and no third party has been targeted.
Exercise will address security threats

Chinese and Russian naval forces conducted on-map military simulation and tactical coordination exercises after the opening ceremony in Zhanjiang city.
Exercise took place after fresh tension with China
The joint exercise comes after China sparked fresh tensions with NATO allies last week. The announcement came as NATO leaders met in the US to drum up support for Ukraine. European and North American members and their partners in the Indo-Pacific are increasingly seeing shared security concerns from Russia and its Asian backers, particularly China. After Russia, China is now becoming the main point of criticism for NATO.
