Delhi Weather Update: According to the Meteorological Department, due to rain on Thursday, the temperature in Delhi decreased by four degrees compared to the previous day. The situation is likely to worsen further due to rain today and tomorrow.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Thursday. Generally cloudy weather and rain are forecast in Delhi.

The maximum and minimum temperatures on Thursday are likely to hover around 34 and 25 degrees Celsius respectively, the weather department said.

Rain in the national capital on Wednesday caused waterlogging and traffic disruption in many parts.

The humidity in Delhi remained between 98 percent and 85 percent on Wednesday. Thunderstorms and rain are expected till September 10.

According to the IMD, Narela recorded 34.5 mm of rain while the city's primary weather station Safdarjung recorded 7.2 mm of rain. The Ridge area recorded 11.8 mm, Delhi University area 20 mm and Lodhi Road recorded 4.4 mm of rain.

Due to rain on Wednesday, the maximum temperature of Delhi reached 32.4 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal. On Tuesday, the temperature in the capital was recorded at 36.2 degrees Celsius. On Wednesday, Delhi's temperature was four degrees lower than Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Delhi's 24-hour air quality index (AQI) was recorded in the "satisfactory" category at 69 at 4 pm, according to the Central Pollution Control Board.
