Delhi: AAP attacks over the issue of admission of Rohingya children, BJP hits back:

Delhi Politics: Politics on education continues in Delhi politics. Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor has once again hit back at the AAP party. He termed the statement of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Anil Jha as completely false and misleading, in which he accused the BJP MLA of Karawal Nagar of helping in the admission of Rohingya children in school.

Praveen Shankar Kapoor said that this claim is not only wrong but also an attempt to mislead the people of Delhi. He further said, "10 Rohingya children were admitted in Delhi government school in January-February 2025 on the orders of the Supreme Court, when the AAP government was in power. This order was given in December 2024 on the petition of communist ideology advocate Ashok Agarwal. At that time, the Kejriwal government did not oppose it in the court. Now Anil Jha is doing false politics on this issue.

Allegations against BJP MLA are baseless - Praveen Shankar Kapoor
Kapoor challenged Anil Jha and said, "If he has any letter or proof written by the BJP MLA of Karawal Nagar for the admission of Rohingya children, then present it. His claim is completely baseless and misleading." He said that the BJP government came to power in Delhi on 20 February 2025, whereas the decision of admission was taken before that during the AAP regime.

Why did the Kejriwal government not protest?- Kapoor
BJP spokesperson hit back at the AAP MLA and said, "Anil Jha should immediately apologize to the BJP MLA of Karawal Nagar for making false allegations. He should also explain why the Kejriwal government did not oppose the admission of Rohingya children in the Supreme Court in December 2024. This petition suited Kejriwal's political agenda, so he kept quiet.

AAP's attempt to mislead - Kapoor
Kapoor alleged that Anil Jha is spreading confusion on this issue at the behest of Arvind Kejriwal. He said, "It is regrettable that AAP is now trying to impose the Supreme Court's order on BJP to hide the failure of its rule. This conspiracy to mislead the people of Delhi will not succeed. This statement of the BJP spokesperson has further increased the tension between AAP and BJP regarding the admission of Rohingya children.
