December Financial Changes: The last month of the year 2024, December, has started. Today, i.e. from the first date, you will see many big changes. These changes will affect your life as well as your pocket. Let us tell you about all these big changes.

LPG gas prices increased

As soon as a new month begins, many changes are seen. Especially the changes in the price of LPG gas directly affect the common man. On the first of December, the price of gas has increased by Rs 16.50 and this gas cylinder will be available in Delhi at Rs 1818.50. Talking about November, the price of LPG gas cylinder was increased on the first of the month. 

Credit card related rules

From December 1, 2024, some rules related to the credit card of the country's largest bank SBI have changed. Actually, earlier when credit card users used to make transactions related to any digital gaming platform or merchant, they used to get rewards points on the transaction. But, from December 1, i.e. today, you will not get any reward points on transactions related to any such gaming platform and merchant.

Changes were also seen in OTP rules

Apart from credit card, there have been changes in the rules of OTP as well. If telecom companies implement the OTP related traceability rule today, then spam and phishing cases can be stopped. Apart from this, all the messages sent by telecom companies will be traceable. 

Changes in bank holidays too

If you have to do some bank related work in the month of December, then you must read this. Actually, in the month of December, banks will remain closed for about 17 days in different states. When you see the RBI bank holiday list, you will know that banks will remain closed for 17 days due to different festivals and events in different states. You can see this list here-

  • Banks in Goa will remain closed on December 3 on the occasion of the feast of St. Francis Xavier.
  • Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya on December 12 on the occasion of Pa-Togan Nengminja Sangma.
  • Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya on December 18 on the occasion of death anniversary of U Soso Tham.
  • Banks will remain closed in Goa on 19 December on the occasion of Goa Liberation Day.
  • Banks will remain closed in Mizoram, Nagaland and Meghalaya on December 24 on the occasion of Christmas Eve.
  • Banks will remain closed across India on 25th December on the occasion of Christmas.
  • Bank holiday on 26 December due to Christmas.
  • December 27 will be a holiday for Christmas celebrations in many places.
  • Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya on December 30 on the occasion of U Kiang Nangbah.
  • Banks will remain closed in Mizoram and Sikkim on December 31 on the occasion of New Year's Eve/Losong/Namsung.
  • Bank branches will remain closed on 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 December due to weekly holiday.
  • Bank branches will remain closed on 14th and 18th December due to second and fourth Saturday.
